The Benefits of a Misting System
During the summer one of the things that people think a lot about is how to stay cool. Not in the fashion sense cool or the attitude-wise cool, but literally cool. High temperatures can make people uncomfortable and very irritable, not to mention sweaty and stinky. In too much heat you can even faint or suffer heatstroke.
It’s not just during the summer either. If you happen to live in the hotter states of the U.S., chances are you’re familiar with the constant struggle to hydrate, cool down, and repeat.
Sure, there is always conventional air conditioning, but conventional AC can cover not all areas that you want cooled. Not to mention providing AC to certain areas will require a lot in the way of power and redesign.
The good news is there is now a revolutionary cooling system known as misting. A misting system is usually composed of one or more nozzles arranged to provide a cooling spray to cover a certain area. That spray is created after water is forced through those special nozzles that quickly atomize water droplets to as small as 5 millionths of a meter, or 5 microns, making it appear as a cooling mist.
Benefits of a Misting System
Why bother with misting? Do you think it’s just a lot of money going up in mist? Think again.
Heat Reduction – This is the most obvious benefit of misting. Some misting systems can cool the temperature up to as high as 25 degrees – much higher than conventional AC.
Insect Repellent – Flying insects can’t escape droplets from a commercial insect spray. Imagine how they fare in a mist of fine droplets. Misting makes it impossible for flies, mosquitoes, and other flying insects to enter or leave certain areas.
Cleaner Air – Aside from flying insects, misting can also remove impurities in the air like dust and pollen. This is especially helpful for those with allergies.
Flexible – Conventional AC is good for certain indoor spaces, but what about outdoor spaces? You can set up a misting system in places were AC is impractical or even impossible like the patio or the porch, or even the garden or pool.
Conventional AC also takes quite a while to cool places down. A misting system can cool things up for you much faster.
Cheaper – A misting system will also cost less in the long run compared to a conventional AC system. There is also no need to worry about a machine overheating or collecting dust.
A Cool Idea
Misting systems aren’t just for the home. Restaurants use them to cool guests and so do sports stadiums. A misting system is also good for workplaces and warehouses. Farms now also use misting systems to cool down animals, to reduce stress, and raise productivity levels.
A misting system doesn’t have to be complicated; there are portable misting systems like fans available for those who don’t want a complicated setup. These can be placed anywhere in the home or the workplace, inside or outside. There is even a misting tent that can keep its occupants cool.
